Theo quy định của Bộ nhân lực Singapore (MOM Singapore), sinh viên học full time các trường đại học học viện Singapore dưới đây được phép đi làm thêm mà không cần xin thẻ làm việc (working pass).

Như vậy, các trường có số lượng đông sinh viên Việt Nam du học nhất hiện nay như Kaplan, MDIS, ERC, SIM, PSB… đều không được tham gia vào bất cứ hình thức làm việc nào, cho dù có lương hay không lương, trong bất kỳ nhành kinh doanh nào, bất kỳ ngành nghề gì tại Singapore trong thời gian lưu trú tại đây dưới Thị thực nhập cảnh sinh viên (đang giữ Student Pass) trừ khi sinh viên được cơ quan quản lý việc làm và lao động (MOM) chấp thuận bằng văn bản.
